Mark your Calendar for these Not-to-be-missed Fall Festivals! Adams Morgan Day Festival - Arts on Belmont Sept. 9, 2012  from 10am to 7pm The 2nd Sunday in September is Adams Morgan Day, an annual neighborhood festival with live music and international food. Adams Morgan Day has something for everyone! Arts on Belmont is a popular draw with its high quality original artists and artisans!  Art on the Avenue Festival Oct. 6, 2012 from 10am to 6pm Art on the Avenue is a multicultural arts festival celebrating the diversity of the Del Ray neighborhood in Alexandria, Virginia through the arts. Hundreds artists and artisans of all kinds will discuss and sell their work along Mount Vernon Avenue. Plus three stages of music, children's art activities, and food!

Arts and crafts workshop - July 14th

The   Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery  at Smith Center for Healing and the Arts , is a nonprofit arts space in Washington, DC dedicated to exhibiting fine art that explores the innate connection between healing and creativity. Gallery Director Brooke Seidelmann asked me to spread the word about their upcoming  Happy, Shiny Things Workshop. Unleash your inner visionary and share your "uncooked reality" in 2 special workshops! Join Bob Benson, the creator of the Blinged-Out Universal Tree of Life at the American Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore, for a morning or afternoon workshop where you will learn to make your own FLASHIES: dynamic, sparkling decorations made from mirrors, marbles, etc. Each participant will leave with 2 finished FLASHIES to keep, to dangle or to adorn your house or garden.
