My Alphabet Animals series of paintings continues with an iguana.  Back in college I had an iguana named Alex.  I once even composed a poem for him: Alex... in a cage of wire With small, odd hands he climbs up higher Long green fingers, sharp black nail Scaling upwards, followed by tail Does he want to be let free? Is his home like a penitentiary? I open his door but begin to doubt Because he stays in and sticks his tongue out.
