Here's some other events around town I've been asked to help promote:  Luce Center Artist Talk: Mariah Anne Johnson Sunday, Oct 28th  1:30 - 3:30pm American Art Museum Luce Center 8th St NW & F St NW, DC 20004 Flashpoint artist Mariah Anne Johnson will be giving a talk at the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Luce Center. Coffee and tea will be served. Benjamin Bellas: losing something you never had Friday, Nov. 9 6:00 - 8:00pm  Flashpoint Gallery 916 S St NW, DC 20001 "losing something you never had" is an installation inspired by the artist’s uncle who was lost at sea during the Vietnam War. The installation will be comprised of sculptures, videos, artifacts and photographs. Objects range from documents and maps related to the event to his uncle’s personal effects, but go beyond documentation to offer a broader meditation on loss and searching. 

CHAW presents a film festival sponsored by Pendragwn Productions celebrating 40 years of "building community through the arts" Oct 13th  10am - 11:30pm Capitol Hill Arts Workshop 545 7th St SE, DC Featured films include "Attack of the Giant Pants" and "Alien Invasion," short films made by CHAW students, and "CHAW@40," a 15 minute film stitching together vintage footage, video interviews, historical and contemporary photographs, bulletins, flyers, and more. The event will also include a red carpet, music from the Inscape Chamber Orchestra, refreshments, and a toast to CHAW's past, present, and future. The film festival is open to all with a $5 suggested donation. Reservations are encouraged at (202) 547-6839

Art on the Avenue Festival Mount Vernon Avenue,  Del Ray,  Alexandria ,  VA   22301 You'll find my 'Arty4ever' tent near Howell Ave. on Mt. Vernon along with over 300 other artists!! Plus there will be music, food, and k ids activities!   I'll have a bunch of new paintings for sale, including this one...
